Requirement of IQAC As per NAAC Guidelines

  • In pursuance of the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality upgradation of institutions of higher education, the NAAC proposes that every accredited institution establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure.

During the post-accreditation period, the IQAC will channelise the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence.

Basic Purpose of IQAC:

  • To ensure continuous improvement in the entire operations of the institution.
  • To assure stakeholders connected with higher education – namely, students, parents, teachers, staff, would-be employers, funding agencies and society in general – of the accountability of the institution for its own quality and probity.

Vision & Mission of IQAC:
